‘A Livella
Year of foundation 1996
Good evening everyone.
I am Luigi Giuliano, one of the founding members of the association group a level for having put in 2025 the historic quadrille group ‘a level presents itself, as already mentioned, Welcome to the palace.
This year we will invite the public to take an unforgettable journey inside a royal residence.
Crossing the majestic gates they will immediately find themselves immersed in a large enchanted garden.
Once they pass the entrance to the palace, a world of luxury and magnificence opens up before them, decorated with impressive frescoes, precious curtains, family portraits and much more.
In short, every corner of our building will be an opportunity to amaze and experience a carnival full of elegance and mystery.
Finally, I wish a big wish, good luck to all the groups.
We know the Quadrille
The History
In 1996 a new committee was born “ ‘A Livella ” which was presented to the public the following year with the theme “From the Andes… to underwear” with maestro Antonio Pesce.
The singular aspect of this group was certainly the young age of the founding committee. These were boys in their early twenties: some had served for a few years in the Gli Studenti others don't I Gaudenti, but in the end the desire for autonomy had prevailed. It was a difficult and courageous choice to start a new quadrille, because this decision would necessarily have entailed considerable financial availability.
Therefore, the boys established a calendar of initiatives that would guarantee the sum necessary to begin preparations through soccer tournaments, trips and parties.
This year the new committee brought an absolute novelty to the Rape of the Pennant event.
He distributed to the quadrille participants a colored hat in the shape of a bowler hat like that of Totò, who inspired the quadrille.
It was a note of color that the Palmesi people really liked. Until then the quadrilles had only paraded with a rosette and a sprig of mimosa attached to the neck of the dress. In the year following '97 and until 2000, the committee made up mainly of young university students to find economic resources and keep the quadrille alive became the protagonist of some initiatives by organizing the five-a-side football tournament in memory of our dear friend and fellow citizen “memorial Biagio Sorrentino”.
Another event that was enormously successful in terms of attendance, fun and conviviality for the youth of Palma was the New Year's Eve party, which thus became a fixed event of the quadrille.
Even today the association is actively involved in organizing social events and with creativity and passion contributes to making the Palma Campania carnival an extraordinary event.
